Dress Up a Chicken ! – Cut and Paste Activity

Dress Up a Chicken ! – Cut and Paste Activity

New Year, new free printable activity!

As many of you know, I am an illustrator and lately I have been working on some chicken characters to add to my portfolio. My favorite has probably been this hipster rooster ( A roopster?) but if you are curious to see more then feel free to visit my portfolio website at www.gabriellavagnoli.com.

As I was sketching a bunch of different versions of this character I thought it would be fun to create an activity in which you can dress up your own rooster, similar to those paper dolls in which you have to cut up and dress up, but more fun because …well… you are dressing a chicken of course!

So, here it is in all its glory! The picture below is only a preview. To download the printable pdf click here: (there is also a black and white version for those, like me, who don’t have a color printer or just like to color their own).

Christmas ornaments pattern activity

Christmas ornaments pattern activity

Hello! I thought it would be fun to use those Christmas ornaments for an activity to practice some simple patterns. Cut the ornaments on the right and paste the right one at the end of each pattern. Coloring is optional of course ! Doesn’t it sound like a great Christmas break or Snow day activity ?

Free Printable Color Ornaments: Cut and Paste Your Christmas Tree

This is the colored version of the Color, Cut and Paste Your Tree activity that I created last week. I created it for those of you who have a color printer and just want a fun cut and paste activity to do with the family.

My suggestion is to print the tree template (click here) on green card stock and the ornament on white card stock. For a school activity for very young ones it might be cool to use velcro strips for an easy and mess free activity!

Free Printable Kids Activity: Make a Snowman

Free Printable Kids Activity: Make a Snowman

Finally a new free printable kids’ activity!! Winter is still long, at least here in the Midwest, but I have to say we are not getting that much snow this year! What is the fun of winter without snow right?

So for all of you who don’t have the chance to build a real one, either because you are lucky enough to live in a warmer climate or because like me are having cold winter with no snow, why not build a paper snowman instead?

I created two free printable templates to use at home or in your classroom: the body of the snowman and the pieces. Of course you can also have the kids create the body out of construction paper or other supports, just make sure to kind of match the size of the pieces.

As usual, all you need is a printer, scissors and glue! Have fun!! If you have pictures of your completed works, please leave some in the comments, I would LOVE to see them!
